Anthony Belli
Anthony M. Belli is a native of California currently living in the Sierras of El Dorado County. During his teens he relocated with his family to Aloha, Oregon where he finished school and pursued a carrer in law enforcement. At the age of 23 he was appointed Chief of Police for the Dayton Police Dept. making him the youngest police chief in Oregon history.
Now retired from law enforcement Anthony is a recognized historian, writer and lecturer on the California Gold Rush. He has been on the research staff for the El Dorado County Museum since 1992 and has served as Chairman for the El Dorado County Cultural Resources Commission. Anthony has appeared on the Discovery Channel, Travel Channel and FOX TV. You will find several of his short stories and scenic

During his spare time Anthony's passion for treasure hunting
keeps him busy. He began writing for Lost Treasure magazine in 2001 and currently works from home as News & Field Editor for the magazine. Known as a prolific research-investigator
Anthony frequently consults on private treasure recovery projects and works from his mountain cabin as a freelance writer and photographer. His first book Mysteries of Tahoe - Lost Treasure was released in 2005 and he is currently working on his second book.
