We also publish the hard science fiction/science fact magazine 'Escape Velocity'. This is a paying market, and listed with Ralan.com and Duotrope. For full details on submissions and the types of articles and stories we seek, drop by the Escape Velocity Page at Adventure Books!
Since May of 2006, we've been asking people to submit their thoughts, opinions, or concerns about climate change for a book. Submission is through an easy webform at the main website, and it asks NO personal questions. We also accept articles and occasional poetry.
We've already received submissions from teachers, housewives, students, truck drivers - even a guy stationed at a research station in Antarctica. All are published. We strongly urge you to have your say in this important document by visiting 'A Thousand Voices'.
Adventure Books of Seattle is a proud member of the Northwest Science Fiction Society. In March of 2008, you might see us wandering around at the Northwest Science Fiction Convention in Seattle. We'll see you there.

Print: $10.25 A. J. Desmond's mind-boggling story about a group of colorful characters who finance the construction of a vast underground shelter beneath London to use in the event of a nuclear holocaust. None of them really expected to use it.Welsh writer Desmond takes you into their world when the unthinkable happens. 'Big Bang' is difficult to categorize, imaginative in its scope, and hard to put down. Back cover quote: "Prepare to be dragged down Alice's rabbit-hole by the scruff of the neck..." Good advice. Slightly higher price than most AB books is due to length. 286 pages/ 6 x 9 size.

Hardcover Print: $21.98 This is the HARDCOVER EDITION of the book.
The New York Times calls the Galileo Project, "Like trying to go to the moon...during the time of Jules Verne."
'Say Goodbye To The Sun' spans vast distances to tell the story of the ultimate adventure. It begins with a chance discovery in the New Mexico desert. It leads to man's first real attempt to find life beyond our Solar System.
'Say Goodbye' is a story of survival against incredible odds, of discovery, and the basic struggle between good and evil. It is a tale of action and high adventure, and a triumph of the human spirit.
It is not your typical space odyssey.
Originally written in 1982, the only known copy of the manuscript was lost after the book was rejected by several publishers as being 'far fetched.' Twenty years later, a previously unknown copy was found in an attic in Seattle. Today, many of the devices and inventions used in the 1982 version of the novel have become reality. A fascinating and exciting read.
