Amy Ellis
I have worked as a photographer for eight years in positions at The Denver Post; The Arizona Republic; The Arizona Daily Sun; a shooter and photoeditor at NAU's, The Lumberjack; a teacher’s assistant to photojournalism instructor, Peter Schwepker; and worked as a freelance, portrait, and wedding photographer; photo store manager; minilab and custom printer. I have been fortunate to work with so many great teachers, editors and co-workers. They have shown me the importance of finding great light, keeping things simple, filling the frame and editing tightly. These have proven to be the standards to which those in the industry judge the merit of strong images and portfolios. I draw on these teachings every day at every photo shoot.
