The Anacostia Diaries
In April 2002, a young DC native began describing his struggles in the counter-culture community of Washington, DC. His name is Francwa Sims. He shows you the political contradictions of American society with no objectivity, unfiltered bias and fresh analysis.
Francwa Sims's blog, Anacostia Diaries, collected here in a updated version, responds to political and personal events—from the impact of 9-11 and the War on Terrorism to his family's troubles in low income housing. He reveals to us police that ignore calls to racism and prejudice that is still a part of American life.
Enlightening and entertaining, his experiences will challenge your perception of the "American Dream" and your mind will not leave untouched.
