07/07/2017Oh my goodness. I received my copy just a couple of days ago. I opened it and thought I would just glance at it, but ended up reading the entire story. Loved the whole thing, the story, the illustrations. It's a magical book with a good lesson for all ages. I'm ordering many more copies to give to the kids in my life. My nieces, nephews and god children are all starting to have kids, and think the adults will enjoy just as much as the little ones will. Very inspirational story. We all need to follow our hearts and dreams. Well done Shannon and Kelly. -
06/07/2017"Hurley the Hippo" is a catchy title! I opened the book and found myself reading out loud. Loved the rhyming and tempo and expressive wording. "A hippo playing the harp. Well, that's inconceivable." Yes, dare to follow your heart ;). Encouragement in spite of "naysaying." Yes, "it takes patience." A wonderful colorful and flowing story for children and adults. Great illustrations and vivid color. Hurley "harped," caught up in "his music ~~ so haunting." I can hear the melody and the sound of the waves ;). 05/07/2017We love this book! It has a wonderful message and beautiful illustrations. My 2.5 yr. old has asked for it night after night - it's definitely one the whole family enjoys.

05/07/2017My two toddlers and I loved Hurley the Hippo! The story had a great moral, to always follow one's heart. The illustrations were great, and the story was fun to read. My 3.5 year old son even asked to keep the book in bed with him to look at Hurley before he fell asleep! Thank you :)

05/07/2017Hurley The Hippo is a wonderful book with a valuable lesson on following your passion in life. The book is very well written and fun to read, as it rhymes. The illustrations are beautiful and draw the reader and listeners in. Not only is the expressed message of following your dreams important, there is a very important underlying implied messages of accepting yourself. I love this book, and the pictures. Your kids will love it.
