The Barber and Lacey families

We are now pleased to offer the updated, expanded "Second Edition" of our original book about the Barber and Lacey families of Kirkman, Iowa; and an extensively updated and expanded "Family Record of the Barbers and Laceys" and related families, with well over 800 citations in the family trees shown therein. Barbers and Laceys and their contemporaries came out to Iowa from Pennsylvania in the mid-1800's. Iowa was an unspoiled new land, filled with promise.

This is their story, often told in their own words, in newspaper accounts, and in the memoirs of those who were there -- genealogical and historical snapshots of several Shelby County families.
