I've published with one other publisher. I wasn't entirely happy with their results, so I decided this time to go with Lulu. I'm glad I did.

Hi Katie and Jo,

The first thing I would suggest is taking the Lulu Demo - there is a tab for that on top of the main Lulu.com web site. You can also review the information on the main HELP page ( www.lulu.com/help ).

If you have specific questions on formatting, I would recommend our Forums or pop into Live Help to chat with an operator.

I would like to make a coffee table-sized book that is large format, lots of photographs, some text. I do not see a template that fits the criteria for my project. If I understand the information correctly, I need to provide a pdf file? Do I create the whole book myself in QuarkXpress and make a pdf file, then send it to you? I have already created the book on another service, but would like to make it available to a larger audience.

I would like some suggestions as to the best way to do this project.

Thank you!

I am new to writing and Lulu, I have just written my first book and I am feeling a little overwhelmed about the publishing process, what should be my next step?

Thanks,
Katie Brave

Hey Solomon,

We do indeed do one-off printing. With Lulu's print-on-demand technology, you can print as few as 1 or as many as you like of your book. To learn more about the paperback publishing process, check out our publishing page: http://www.lulu.com/en/products/paperback/
