Peter,

I am not advocating "spamming" stumbleupon. I have seen many people submit sites to StumbleUpon over and over and then get banned. That is spamming.

What I am suggesting, is to join a group of like minded StumbleUpon users. If a user just submits their content over and over, they are not going to get many views of their page. But if a user takes the time to stumble other content, and really become part of the community; gaining subscribers and friends, then the site will be beneficial.

Again, I am not advocating spamming the site, or any of the sites above. I am advocating using the site as a social networking tool not as a vehicle to spam.

Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Re StumbleUpon

You say "You can .....easily add your own ....your own Lulu content easily."

But that surely is against the terms & conditions of StumbleUpon which allow you to promote your "personal non-commercial site."

Promoting our books in this way would be- commercial usage for which, to be legitimate, you would have to sign up with StumbleUpon as an advertiser.

It cannot be in in Lulu's interests to get a reputation for encouraging its users to spam sites with commercial messages.

Or am I missing something here?

From StumbleUpon's T&Cs

"if you have a personal, non-commercial site that you’d like to share with others, you are permitted to submit it to StumbleUpon. you may be identified as spammer.

If you have a commercial site that promotes a specific product or service, you may only use StumbleUpon to drive traffic if you are an approved Advertiser."
