Adam here.
We apologize for the delay in posting this month’s Author Sales Contest Leaderboard. This month, instead of posting contest standings to the Lulu blog, we launched a Beta version of a new contest Leaderboard page, which we’ll constantly update. You can get a peak here: http://www.lulu.com/author_contest/winners/
Unfortunately, we’re still working some kinks with the automation; so as a disclaimer, please understand that the results displayed on the above page aren’t yet 100% accurate.
So in the meantime, we’ll continue to update the Leaderboards here on the Lulu blog.
So, without further delay…here are the current July Sales contest standings as of July 23, 2009:
1. Sidney Shapiro
2. Chaz Keller
3. James Danko
4. Daniel Proctor
5. Eve Schillo
6. Ron McCormick
7. Mark Boswell
8. Alex Corbin
9. Mike Palecek
10. Doyne Cantrell

How are these Authors driving their sales? How can I get propelled up There? I am worthy. Or, at least, I think that I am…
Signed,
Ruth A. Cod
I registered for the July contest, but I keep getting notices about signing up. What is wrong, did you not get the registration?
Hi Violet,
Your registration was most likely received. How many of these emails have you received? Are you getting them daily or just every so often? I’m not sure why you’re continuing to receive these emails but I am sorry that is happening to you. If you wouldn’t mind, please forward me one of these emails to me at info@lulu.com. Please include in the subject-line “Sales Contest Blog follow-up” I’ll follow up and make sure you do not continue getting spammed by these emails.
Thanks

I get emails about Lulu sales (daily reports), but the actual MORE DETAILS for revenue don’t show any of it (support ticket put in over a week ago), so I don’t know if Lulu is lying about the sales (email) or something is wrong. Hard to know (and hard for a programming book to compete with many of the contest winners). Though I suppose if a manual is in 3rd, there is hope.
Can you please list how many books each of the top 10 have sold. Thanks
How do I find your tweeter to follow? My user is dgr71
I have complained to Lulu about an issue with ordering. I routinely will submit info on my myspace account, facebook and aol to order my books. I received many emails from people that were trying to purchase a book, but was given a prompt to sign up for Lulu. They do not want to sign up to Lulu. They simply want to purchase a book. I lost countless sales because of this problem and as of this morning, it continues to do the same thing when an order is trying to be placed. I’m not saying that I would have won, I’m saying that not only will I never know, but I also am continuously losing revenue because of this glitch. At one time Lulu have a live person help prompt, but that has also gone (Not that they were much help!) but at least this issue could have been looked at in real time.
What now?

I am also curious as to how many books your top folks have sold so far….it could make it more exciting to know how far ahead they are….maybe even within reach to catch them! Thanks for your good work on this for us, Adam!

I’ve been trying to contact Comedy Traffic schools all across USA to pick my book, but have had no response.
Harvey the Happy Helmet’s How To Drive Handbook, very reasonably priced.
Contacting CAA and hoping a bulk order comes through.
