No one should be forced to be linked and serve as an advertiser. The people that agreed which was around 8 or 9 got me around 900 hits when the hit counter was there! Because social media is so new to our eyes and ears, we need to learn its etiquette. I think it's a lot like getting people to pay attention to you in real life. If you're not a good listener, people know it. They end up ignoring you because you're so interested in yourself. On the other hand, making conversation with people for social--not business--reasons, showing that you care, and having genuine interest in what others are doing and saying will go a long way. Some of the best people I know are those who never talked about themselves and consequently had other people talking about them. Great, quick post.
