Hi James, I'm glad you found us! I think the first step in your journey should be uploading your book and publishing it here on Lulu.

Carol, most of the books I sign are simply to the reader with my name, usually with a tag such as "Hope you enjoy!" However, if I've learned something specific about them and their interest - perhaps that they are interested in writing as well - then I will add a more unique line like "Looking forward to your own book." When I've met another author at a group signing, I will try to include some bit of our conversation in the note to make it more memorable. Thanks for asking.

Thanks for commenting, Elmore! It's wonderful that you offer signed books through your site. Do you have any pointers for other authors on how to best personalize your book?

I don't make a lot of money at book signings as I try to price my books as low as possible - that is more than made up for the interaction with the reader and the joy of signing a copy specifically for them or a family member. I offer signed copies through my website,;it would be nice if there was a method to do that directly through Lulu.
