It may be a little late in the holiday season, but there’s still time to create a personalized gift on Lulu. One of my favorites are our calendars. With our Flickr, Facebook, SmugMug and Photobucket photo integration you can easily find and add 12 photos your friend or family member will love. Add some custom dates like birthdays, anniversaries and the like, and you’re ready to go! Select one of our faster shipping options and you can probably get in time for the holidays. If not, then you can always use them as a belated gift.

This year, I imported a bunch of photos from Flickr to make a calendar for my Mom. Shh…don’t tell my mom.

Get started before it’s too late!

In last week’s post, Adam told us about some new enhancements to Lulu Studio.

I’ve been wanting to join the flickr-nation and with this new Lulu feature, I had nothing stopping me from creating a photo book. If you haven’t given Lulu Studio a whirl yet, here’s a step-by-step of what to expect when you merge your Flickr account and Lulu Studio to create a photo book.

So I logged into my flickr account. If you don’t have a flickr or photo bucket account, sign up for one – either or, whichever you are more comfortable with. Once you’re all set up, start uploading photos to your hearts desire.

So I put my photos on Flickr:

Now if you already have a flickr or photobucket account, you can skip this step and go to the fun part – creating your Lulu Studio™ photo book or calendar.

So off to Lulu Studio I go:

From there this is where it used to get tricky. All those photos you uploaded to flickr or photobucket would be stuck there and you would have to go through the process or re-uploading all of your photos. If you only have a few that may not be a big deal but if you have hundreds or just hate having to do the same thing twice, then this is a good thing. With the new photo site uploading option, Lulu cut out a few of those extra steps and made it easier to get to the fun part – creating your project:

From there allow Lulu access into your photo site account and let Lulu do all the work:

Voilá! Your photos are ready to be added to your Lulu Studio™ project.
Now I’m off to finish my photo book. With my photos transferred over like magic, I have more creative energy to make the perfect photo book for my friends.

Let me know what you think of this and the other new enhancements to Lulu Studio.

Best,
Lauren
