Mr. Michael Smith

Michael is an avid photographer and have been photographing Boston Carnival for some time. In 2005 he did the first ever survey of Boston Carnival. The results of the Survey and many of his photographs from that year resulted in this book. Michael migrated to Boston from Trindad and have been residing in a town just outside of Boston for several years. Michael is currently working on his other project, a photograpy exhibition of 50 to 100 photographs he has taken over the years of Boston Carnival. The exhibition entitled "Streets of Color" is shedule to be launched in August of 2007 in Boston.

Boston Carnival Photographic Essay and Survey
Boston Carnival: Photographic Essay and Survey contains 60 pages, which has over 50 color photograph taken at the annual carnival celebration in August of 2005 and the results of a survey also taken on that day. The 38 question survey attempts to identify the typical person attending the annual "Trinidad Style" carnival celebration, community impact and other important factors. The data and photographic essay gives the general audience a typical look at the day in the life of Boston Carnival.
