Art in the Public Interest (API) is a nonprofit arts organization whose focus is promoting information exchange, research and critical dialogue within the field of community-based art. Its primary activity is the Community Arts Network (www.communityarts.net), a major networking, information and documentation resource for practitioners, facilitators and others who believe that the arts are an essential ingredient for a healthy society.
