Ten true stories as varied as the people involved and the continents visited, let alone the countries, all having something to do with the sea and those who sail on it. The author was one of the first officially approved navigation and seamanship instructors, but this led him into some of the most improbable situations, before he settled down to run one the Britain's largest sailing schools and charter fleets, in the UK and abroad. Only coming ashore after eighteen years teaching afloat, didn't mean a quiet life. Quite the opposite.
