Description:

Living like a nomad most of his young, troubled life, James Suttle finally finds rest and tranquillity in his whirlwind of an existence. The Suttle family moves into James’s great Aunty May’s housein Sunflower, a quaint little town in the country. On his thirteenth birthday, he receives a diary from his Aunty May as a present. Atfirst he is rather reluctant to record anything in it. However, he eventually starts filling the diary with entries taken from episodes in his life. Life carries on for the young James, despite the difficulties and heartaches that he has to go through in a new, strange town. At school the situation is not much different, but over the years he finally finds his place in society. Not only does he excel as a good student and sportsman, but he also becomes a victim of Cupid’s arrow, ingeniously disguised as the indescribably beautiful Cynthia. Life couldn’t be grander for James. Until that fateful day. That day when he sees the sunflowers weep.
