Description:

This is a fiction story about a man named Darius who witnesses his father being abusive to his mother growing up and aims to follow in his footsteps. When Darius meets a young innocent young woman named Dana who has run away from her home for personal reasons, he believes he has found the perfect woman and will go to any length to keep his deceits from her. We meet Darius' mother along the way, a very kind, but weak character who does nothing to defend her honor and seems destined to remain in a loveless relationship indefinitely. Darius' father shares his views about his wife and alleged son, while taking us down his own personal hell. We also hear from friends of both Darius and Dana to get a better idea of what kind of individuals they really are. When Darius agrees to marry Dana, it isn't long before he starts to abuse her. All the while, Dana and Darius' mother are becoming stronger women due to their bonding and friendship, a move that leads to tragedy, pain, and enlightenment.

I was horribly abused by my former boyfriend and can totally relate to this book; it chillingly captures the mindset of those who abuse, but in such a brillant, amusing, and masterful way. I love all the characters and how they are portrayed, but my favorite is Dana. As I was reading, I felt like I knew her personally.

Best Book Ever! [ No Rating ] 21 May 2009
The last review here is simply an attempt to sabatoge the author due to a f***ed up relationship. I know this because I have been good friends with Ms. Vishnevsky for a very long time and know her upstanding character and excellent talent for writing and communicating. So, J.N., grow up and stop acting like a child. This book is amazing, has amazing characters, and is WELL WORTH the read.
Terrible book [ No Rating ] 18 May 2009 (updated 18 May 2009)
This book was very boaring. The charecters were unimaginative and uninspired. Darius was definately the product of a sick and twisted mind. It is no wonder miss Vishnevsky can't get a major publisher to publish her books. When she puts out work like this, who would want her? I have a problem with insomnia. All I had to do was read a couple of chapters of this utterly boaring book per night, and bingo, problem solved. To anyone planning on buying the book, do yourself a favor and don't. Just save the money and put it to bette use. I was excrusiatingly disappointed.
Awsome Novel [ No Rating ] 14 Apr 2009 (updated 14 Apr 2009)
I loved the book. It was very interesting to see how the lives of the two main charecters in the novel intertwined and and came together. The image on the cover is very striking. The pearsing green eyes of the woman filled with fear and the man's hand covering her mouth tell the story of a woman dominated by and evil sadistic, controlling man. She eventually breaks free and finds herself. She takes controll of her own destiny and becomes independent.

I would recomend this book to anyone who is interested in building up their own self esteem and self confidence in order to take controll of their own lives.

Miss Vishnevsky seems to be excellent at writting inspirational stories and articles that help build a better world for all people. I am excited to read her other books and am looking forward to see what else she will write.
What a Great Book!!!! [ No Rating ] 14 Sep 2007
My first impression of your new novel, The Devious Man .... How Utterly Twisted, was the striking cover. The woman had piercing green eyes that glowed with fear and I
was immediately hooked on pondering her fate.

From page one, I was captivated by the main characters, that swept you about with its twist and turns. Then, it slowly unraveled a mystery with strong emotions and
vivid messages, that will help you sort out and breakaway from your negative, abusive and self-destructive ways.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to improve their self-esteem, live a life that is meaningful and happy with a promising future.
