When my sock monkey obsession first began, I thought, I bet it would be easier to knit a sock monkey than to sew one. But I could not find a knitted sock monkey pattern anywhere on the web. So I set out to design a pattern myself.

This is my version of a knitted sock monkey. (BTW, it's about the same degree of difficulty, sewing or knitting a sock monkey, in case you are wondering...)

I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease yarn for this monkey pattern, and size 6 needles. The finished sock monkey is the same size as a Rockford Red Heel sock monkey, about 30 inches from head to toe.
