Great read! [ No Rating ] 10 May 2005
Story flows well, and definitely made its point about 'what goes around comes around.' I've e-mailed you further thoughts on your book.

TO CAST THE FIRST STONE! This is a great short story that will show you that there is no cure for bad juju or karma or that whatever nasty things you say and do will come back tenfold to you. Never say never - I always say - and treat others as you would have them treat you. A collection of short stories like this one would make an entertaining and spellbinding book (reminds me of Stephan King) and a GREAT screenplay for starters. This tale that is all too true today as it has always been had me sitting on the edge of my seat & for some reason i am starting to itch all over! Gotta run...........
Peace & Love!

I liked this story for the most part. It was very well written, the plot unfolded quite nicely, in fact. I think that anyone who's ever been on a member of "The Group" or even the infamous Claire will take away a very valuable lesson from this tale.
Awe man, weird, compelling..You will read it to the end!!

To be honest, if I had to define a literary attribute of this story that made it so great, I might be at a loss for words. All I know is that a good story will wrap you up into it until it decides to slowly roll you out in the end. Well, this is one of those stories!!!

The lesson, well, it's been told a thousand times. It takes a good deal of talent to re-tell it. There is a definative voice to the narrator in "Don't Spit Into the Wind." The characters are real, yet they are as absurd as the story--and that's why I think this story is so brilliant!!

Another reviewer remarked that this story has 'Hollywood' written all over it, well, I tend to agree. In fact, he beat me to it. Right away I imagined a young Reece Witherspoon telling the story, or maybe she could have been Claire.

There is such a unique flare to this fresh perspective of the ancient proverb, 'What goes around comes around.'

I also appreciate the subtle cue that Jennifer Fox gave in the middle of this story. The ending may seem outlandish, but, you know what? I think it makes perfect sense at the same time. Jennifer stuck a simple image in my mind that actually rationalizes the twist.

This is honestly one of the first times I've ever read a short story so quickly. I consumed each image.

I loved it.
A story with a lesson [ No Rating ] 6 Mar 2005
When I saw the title, I thought it odd...until I read the story; a nicely written short-story with a moral, that being, what comes around goes around. Now the title makes perfect sense!
fun story

It reminded me of some of Stephen Spielberg's "Amazing Stories" (I think they were called) and the story has a definite Hollywood feel. A simple morality or fairy tale at heart, but well told. The ending might need a bit more work: why did bugs suddenly appear? was it a spell? etc etc. But I enjoyed it.
