An overall good design of an origami raccoon. Looks great and is something I'm glad to add to my collection. My only complaint is the lack of clarity in some steps of the instructions. For instance, one step said to add an additional pleat while refolding preexisting creases, but there is no specification of where this should be done, nor does the diagram show where to do this. This model does require some thinking and problem solving skills, and previous experience is highly recommended.

Overall, it is definitely worth the $3.00 price and is a great challenge.
Very clever design

I have been a huge fan of your work for several years. I first noticed your design for Fluffy and have folded that one many times and given them away as gifts. Having noticed your recently new origami racoon inspired me to take up origami again. The diagrams are detailed and accurate as usual--very aesthetically pleasing. The colour change of the tail blew me away. (The diagram representation resemebled your Bee diagrams nearing the end; I thought that was funny and nostalgic.)

My only other comment is that the final result diagram looks a bit different from your photograph of the origami racoon. Perhaps a bit of further shaping will make it resemble it more. I haven't attempted to fold it yet, but I will very soon!

A must-have for the origami enthusiast. :)
Great design!

Great raccoon design! I have not yet constructed the 'coon, but I've looked through it a couple times now. It looks like it might take me a couple tries to get right, as I am an intermediate folder. He doesn't waste steps with common origami folds, for instance, he uses 2 steps to get to the bird base from a plain square (collapse and petal). There are a total of 61 steps, each of them with a diagram, and the final diagram of the completed raccoon. Otherwise, it's your standard origami instructions, all the symbolism is standard and the instructions are small one-sentence phrases.

It is well worth the $3, as I couldn't find another origami raccoon anywhere and this one looks very nice.
