I was not exactly sure what I wanted from my book cover, but I had a very general idea of the message I wanted it to convey to possible readers. After briefly explaing this vision to the friendly people at Dixie Press, they went to work.

Within a few days, I received an excellent design for the cover. There were some changes that I suggested, and these changes were always properly made.

I am very happy with the cover I have for my book. This is an excellent service, and I plan on coming back for my next book.

From a professional point of view, my experience with Dixie Press was exemplary. I emailed them my design idea for the dust cover, which included photo and bio of author, lettering, color and angles. Within three days their email reply with the finished artwork was superb. After a few minor changes and the addition of the ISBN and bar code, my novel Kissing Freud was off to the printing press. I didn't know what to expect when I hired these people to make my cover. I sent them 5 pictures that were to be used on the front cover. One of the pictures was from my mom's yearbook that I had scanned. The picture and book were over 50 years old and the other pictures were taken on an old polariod carmera eons ago.
I told them my idea for the cover and within less than a week it was completed.
The only adjustments that were needed were when I changed my page total. The cover itself were perfect on the first draft!
These people are amazing. I made a few more changes to the page count and they just smiled and fixed it for me.

Anyone who knows me from the forums knows how hard it is to impress me. So don't even think that this review is a suck-up to a fellow Lulu creator. I entrusted the preparation of a cover for the revised edition of my book to Tinhorn. Because I know nothing about and exhibit a shameful lack of talent in graphic design, I had to rely on someone to put into reality what has been lingering in my grey matter for several years. I emailed my vision fully expecting it to lead to much back-and-forth dialogue before everything was "just right." I received the first draft in the agreed-upon timeframe. Much to my surprise, the artist captured the imagery, design and mood I wanted to establish in the first try.
