A really great service. [ No Rating ] 31 Jan 2008
I used this particular service for my book 'Waterwings' because it was the cheapest I could find. Angela edited Part One of the book and I was very pleased with this so I used the service for Part Two - the conclusion, but I submitted the both parts and Angela was kind enough to go over the first part again - which had changes - even though I hadn't asked her to. So I have no problem recommending her service. Surely the best value for money on Lulu.

I purchased this service for "Devils and Angels" and was never disappointed. Not only did they answer all my annoying little emails professionally and in a timely manner, but they also went a step further and told me about a few mistakes I needed to take a look at in my book. Very helpful and would recommend them. Also plan on using them again.

I give Angela Hooper’s Editing Service 10 stars [ No Rating ] 29 Jan 2007
I used Angela Hooper’s editing service to edit my book, “Airport Graffiti (& Confessions of a Recovering Chef),” and it was magnificent. I was very satisfied and amazed at how thorough Angela was with my book. My wife is a pretty good grammarian herself and was working on it in her spare time but I knew she couldn’t give it the attention a professional would. The problem I had was I didn’t know who to go to, but then I read Angela’s reviews and I took a chance. It turned out to be the right decision, and the work she did was outstanding. She even was able to clean up the two sentences that I had written in Spanish using my very week high school Spanish. I will certainly use this service again and again.

Review of Angela Hooper Editing Service [ No Rating ] 30 Jun 2006 (updated 30 Jun 2006)
Angela did a basic edit of my book,"The New Radio Receiver Building Handbook". She was thorough and I was very pleased with the $150 service. She agreed to work with a PDF file that she didn't like. She prefers MS Word. The work that was promised in three weeks was completed in about one week. Other editors wanted up to a thousand dollars to do the same job.

This service was an excellent value. Angela is courteous, responsive, timely and, most important, she found far more errors than I expected. I would recommend her to anyone, even experienced authors.

I highly recommend Angela from Angel Editing.

Helen from Angela's team has just finished editing my book "Mind Over Platter". After a year of writing and rewriting, I realized I needed a professional to edit my book. I had a number of people read through it and find errors. But it seemed like every time I read it, I would find another. I had been avoiding hiring someone out of concern of it costing too much and fear that they would change my style and it would not sound like me. I found her rates are very affordable. I really couldn't afford not to do it.

Angela answered all of my questions and concerns. She even provided me a sample of how she would edit my book. I appreciated that very much. Having never met Angela and finding her on lulu.com, I was a bit hesitant about paying someone online who I don't know to do something so sensitive. This reassured me that she was a credible and responsive to my needs. She assigned Helen to my book and I couldn't be happier.

Helen is an excellent communicator, and made suggestions that resonated with my personality. She successfully added a professional quality to my casual and personal writing style.

All of this within three weeks! She returned my manuscript with some very good corrections. I am impressed with her ability to "catch" the little things that many others have over looked. In addition I am especially grateful for Helen and Angela's encouragement and supportive feedback. It really helped me when I needed it most. She is incredible and I give her 6 out of 6 stars. I will use her for my next book.

Now on to Oprah!

Angela helped edit my current novel, Cherine Saga, which will be released in June. She did a fantastic job catching typos and blunders, and I recommend her to anyone needing either an in depth editor or a proof reader. Thanks, Angela. -Charles Jo Harder
Great Editing Service! by Mark O'Doherty [ No Rating ] 30 Jan 2006
Angelah Hooper's work on my book,'Cosmic Temple', impressed me very much. She assisted me greatly as an Editor, and transformed my manuscript into a fine Fantasy Epic. She also gave me her complete moral and emotional support, which during this first publication of mine, uplifted me tremendously, and was far more than I could have hoped for.
As an Editor - and as an Angel! - I value her very highly!

As the author of Somewhere Out There - Time Travel Romance, I have nothing to say but praise for Angela’s editing service. I am a teacher who thought that I could edit my own work, but after at least ten attempts to weed out all of the mistakes in my book (spelling mistakes like shinning for shining; homophones like isle for aisle, peace for piece; contractions like your for you’re; possessive adjectives like husband’s hand; missing words in sentences) I contacted Angela for help. When it’s your own work and you constantly read it, your brain substitutes the correct word in place of the wrong one. Even after I had other people help me proof read the work, we all missed many, many mistakes that Angela was quick to spot. She even gave me suggestions for a better word or phrase to use in certain places. Her editing was fast, professional, and very easy to understand for me to make the necessary corrections in my book. I am indebted to her and will continue to sing her praises. Please don’t hesitate to get Angela to help make your book the professional work that you deserve to have printed. Way to go, Angela!

Angela saved the day for me when the other editor I had contracted decided that I was too much of a hopeless lost cause.

Angela took on the challenge and her work was fantastic. I never expected to get so much detail and hard work at this level of editing. I can only imagine how more in depth her high level editing is.

I can't thank her enough for bringing Ancient Rising into shape and she will alway be my goto person for my professional editing needs.

I HIGHLY recommend her.

In this age of print-on-demand publishing, authors who want their work to stand out and make a good impression in the marketplace should take advantage of the many excellent editing services available. We all make mistakes in our writing. As an author and editor myself, I appreciate another editor giving my manuscripts a final polishing before publication. For this, I recommend the services of Angela Hooper. Ms. Hooper is easy to work with and will help make your book the best it can be. (Bonnie Turner, March 24, 2005) www.lulu.com/Bonnie-Turner

I've just been proofing my new book, O'SULLIVANS' HILL. Angela Hooper was kind enough to edit it for me and what a great job she did. You all know how it goes. You read and re-read your work so many times that you begin to see what should be there instead of what really is!
Angela's fresh eye caught whatever I had missed. Including changing the gender a couple of times of a main character. And he wasn't one that would appreciate being called a "girlie man"! Typos, quotation marks, action suggestions to replace some passive sections, (the all important show don't tell), and some time line discrepancies were all caught by Angela. She also made some suggestions regarding character building.
All in all, it was not only a great help, it made the book so much more readable and enjoyable. We had a good laugh about a couple of Brit versus Yank English terms, and compromises were reached without bloodshed!
Thanks, Angela, for a terrific and thorough job!

Hi! I’m Nix Winter. *waves* I write Science-fiction, Fantasy, and Romantica. I’ve been writing independently for years. Angela worked over my novella ‘The Theater of Emerald Tears’ last year. Her suggestions were helpful and supportive. I’ve worked with good editors and bad, and if my publisher were to hire Angela, I’d be happy.

Several months ago I had the pleasure to work with Angela on a short story collection that she reviewed entitled Mind Monsters & Other Stories. I found Angela's suggestions helpful and professional in every respect. I would recommend her services without reservation to anyone in need of a great editor who knows how to zero in on fiction related problems. Sometimes as writers we are too close to a piece of work. Thus making crucial editing decisions can be difficult. With the assistance of Angela's objective & experienced guidance very well might make the difference between a rejection slip & acceptance letter from a publisher. Once again, I would not hesitate to use Angela's services in the future!
Sincerely,
