Helen from Angela's team has just finished editing my book "Mind Over Platter". After a year of writing and rewriting, I realized I needed a professional to edit my book. I had a number of people read through it and find errors. But it seemed like every time I read it, I would find another. I had been avoiding hiring someone out of concern of it costing too much and fear that they would change my style and it would not sound like me. I found her rates are very affordable. I really couldn't afford not to do it.
Angela answered all of my questions and concerns. She even provided me a sample of how she would edit my book. I appreciated that very much. Having never met Angela and finding her on lulu.com, I was a bit hesitant about paying someone online who I don't know to do something so sensitive. This reassured me that she was a credible and responsive to my needs. She assigned Helen to my book and I couldn't be happier.
Helen is an excellent communicator, and made suggestions that resonated with my personality. She successfully added a professional quality to my casual and personal writing style.
All of this within three weeks! She returned my manuscript with some very good corrections. I am impressed with her ability to "catch" the little things that many others have over looked. In addition I am especially grateful for Helen and Angela's encouragement and supportive feedback. It really helped me when I needed it most. She is incredible and I give her 6 out of 6 stars. I will use her for my next book.
Now on to Oprah!

As an Editor - and as an Angel! - I value her very highly!
Angela took on the challenge and her work was fantastic. I never expected to get so much detail and hard work at this level of editing. I can only imagine how more in depth her high level editing is.
I can't thank her enough for bringing Ancient Rising into shape and she will alway be my goto person for my professional editing needs.
I HIGHLY recommend her.

In this age of print-on-demand publishing, authors who want their work to stand out and make a good impression in the marketplace should take advantage of the many excellent editing services available. We all make mistakes in our writing. As an author and editor myself, I appreciate another editor giving my manuscripts a final polishing before publication. For this, I recommend the services of Angela Hooper. Ms. Hooper is easy to work with and will help make your book the best it can be. (Bonnie Turner, March 24, 2005) www.lulu.com/Bonnie-Turner
I've just been proofing my new book, O'SULLIVANS' HILL. Angela Hooper was kind enough to edit it for me and what a great job she did. You all know how it goes. You read and re-read your work so many times that you begin to see what should be there instead of what really is!
Angela's fresh eye caught whatever I had missed. Including changing the gender a couple of times of a main character. And he wasn't one that would appreciate being called a "girlie man"! Typos, quotation marks, action suggestions to replace some passive sections, (the all important show don't tell), and some time line discrepancies were all caught by Angela. She also made some suggestions regarding character building.
All in all, it was not only a great help, it made the book so much more readable and enjoyable. We had a good laugh about a couple of Brit versus Yank English terms, and compromises were reached without bloodshed!
Thanks, Angela, for a terrific and thorough job!

Hi! I’m Nix Winter. *waves* I write Science-fiction, Fantasy, and Romantica. I’ve been writing independently for years. Angela worked over my novella ‘The Theater of Emerald Tears’ last year. Her suggestions were helpful and supportive. I’ve worked with good editors and bad, and if my publisher were to hire Angela, I’d be happy.

Several months ago I had the pleasure to work with Angela on a short story collection that she reviewed entitled Mind Monsters & Other Stories. I found Angela's suggestions helpful and professional in every respect. I would recommend her services without reservation to anyone in need of a great editor who knows how to zero in on fiction related problems. Sometimes as writers we are too close to a piece of work. Thus making crucial editing decisions can be difficult. With the assistance of Angela's objective & experienced guidance very well might make the difference between a rejection slip & acceptance letter from a publisher. Once again, I would not hesitate to use Angela's services in the future!
Sincerely,
