Description:

I will take your finished document or wraparound cover file, and convert it to a PDF that is ready for uploading to Lulu for printing. This service is not intended for those who need help correcting formatting errors in their files.

Documents should be fully formatted proofread, and should either use Lulu standard "As-Is" fonts, or, if possible, be saved with all fonts embedded, as described below:

Please note: Performing this task will help assure that the fonts in the PDF file matches those in your Word or Wordperfect file.

In MS Word (for Windows)

1. Open your document in MS Word.
   
2. Go to the Tools menu and select "Options."
3. Go to the "Save" tab and click the "Embed TrueType fonts" check box.
4. Click the "OK" button, go to: File menu -> "Save As...".
5. Type in a new filename, then save the file (this is to prevent you from overwriting the original version of this file).
6. Send this file to me as an email attachment.

In Wordperfect (for Windows)

1. Open your document in Wordperfect.
2. Select "Save As..." from the file menu.
3. Click the "Embed fonts using TrueDoc" check box.
4. Save the file with a new filename (this is to prevent you from overwriting the original version of this file).
5. Then send this file to me as an email attachment.

I'll perform two additional conversions of the same file, if needed, within 30 days of the purchase of this service. If you need more conversions to the same file beyond this period, or have more than one file needing conversion, you must make additional purchases of this service.

No typewritten manuscripts accepted. Only digital documents provided via email or uploaded to a private location on Lulu (using the "Direct Access" option). Conversion will be done, and the completed file will be returned to customer within two business days, unless unexpected problems arise, as mentioned above.

Before purchasing my services, please read below:
If a file has been formatted using "soft" page breaks (meaning that the "Enter" key was used when moving forward from one page to the next instead of the "page break" option of your word processor), then the PDF conversion process may expose formatting/page alignment problems not evident in the word processor file itself.

Please email me at "gregb 'AT' bddesignonline 'dot' com" describing the subject matter of your book prior to purchase, especially if it is of a knowingly controversial or sexual nature. I reserve the right to refuse any project I feel is incompatible with my personal beliefs, or that I simply am unable to accept due to time constraints.
