Editing, Advanced level
Description:Corrections and/or alternatives will be offered, for errors such as wrong words, wrong spelling, punctuation, and the consistency in word choices, tone and tenses. It also includes suggestions for changing badly structured, or badly worded sentences and paragraphs to ensure both sentence and script clarity, consistency in the characters and the time line of the story, and an overview of the story itself. It does include any dating inaccuracies within the story's time frame but it will not include "rewriting" a manuscript, ie, taking the basic story and writing it again. Nor will it include factual inaccuracies. This service is not suitable for technical manuscripts. At this editing level, any queries or questions from the author will also be addressed, where possible, and if deemed necessary, a second reading will be done. The edit will take between four and five weeks, but if the client has an urgent deadline, this can be discussed. Acceptable formats; Word or any Office programme that can be easily modified only. No PDFs accepted. Before the document is sent, I would prefer an initial contact email (with "advanced edit" in the subject line) outlining any special requests, then on receipt of my confirmation, the document can be sent. The price quoted is for up to 80,000 words. For documents over this total, please purchase the Advanced Edit 2. Listed in:

She took what was left after a very skim editing job and worked her magic on it. Her service was fast, fun, flexible and above all friendly. Right from the getgo I told her that I was wondering if the edit could be done in 4 weeks instead of 5 and she said 'no problem.' After editing the book, she sent me a very nice e-mail detailing what she did and also a nice review of my work. I was incredibly pleased and still am. Right now I am imputting all the corrections she put and all I have to say is that she didn't miss a thing. She didn't let one thing slip. In fact, she gave constructive criticisim which helped me know what to look out for in the future. If anything is inconsistent, she will let you know. Now, I'm in the midst of polishing it up, getting it ready to re-publish and I couldn't be happier. She has really paved the way for my bumby manuscript. Now it'll be ready for production and, maybe one day, head for the Big Screen.
So, Angela hooper, Thank you for taking good care of my Manuscript/Baby and I look foward to having you edit every new manuscript that I churn out from now on. That's right, I am now a returning customer becuase this editing service is the only one I trust. And, to anyone who is reading this for the first time, you should trust it too.
Thanks again Ms. hooper. I look foward to picking up a copy of In Dark Minds and I will mail you a free copy of my book as soon as it is finished.
Thank you so much.

I've just been proofing my new book, O'SULLIVANS' HILL. Angela Hooper was kind enough to edit it for me and what a great job she did. You all know how it goes. You read and re-read your work so many times that you begin to see what should be there instead of what really is!
Angela's fresh eye caught whatever I had missed. Including changing the gender a couple of times of a main character. And he wasn't one that would appreciate being called a "girlie man"! Typos, quotation marks, action suggestions to replace some passive sections, (the all important show don't tell), and some time line discrepancies were all caught by Angela. She also made some suggestions regarding character building.
All in all, it was not only a great help, it made the book so much more readable and enjoyable. We had a good laugh about a couple of Brit versus Yank English terms, and compromises were reached without bloodshed!
Thanks, Angela, for a terrific and thorough job!

Hi! I’m Nix Winter. *waves* I write Science-fiction, Fantasy, and Romantica. I’ve been writing independently for years. Angela worked over my novella ‘The Theater of Emerald Tears’ last year. Her suggestions were helpful and supportive. I’ve worked with good editors and bad, and if my publisher were to hire Angela, I’d be happy.

Several months ago I had the pleasure to work with Angela on a short story collection that she reviewed entitled Mind Monsters & Other Stories. I found Angela's suggestions helpful and professional in every respect. I would recommend her services without reservation to anyone in need of a great editor who knows how to zero in on fiction related problems. Sometimes as writers we are too close to a piece of work. Thus making crucial editing decisions can be difficult. With the assistance of Angela's objective & experienced guidance very well might make the difference between a rejection slip & acceptance letter from a publisher. Once again, I would not hesitate to use Angela's services in the future!
Sincerely,
