Angela saved my book! Quite literally (No pun intended.)

She took what was left after a very skim editing job and worked her magic on it. Her service was fast, fun, flexible and above all friendly. Right from the getgo I told her that I was wondering if the edit could be done in 4 weeks instead of 5 and she said 'no problem.' After editing the book, she sent me a very nice e-mail detailing what she did and also a nice review of my work. I was incredibly pleased and still am. I've just been proofing my new book, O'SULLIVANS' HILL. Angela Hooper was kind enough to edit it for me and what a great job she did. You all know how it goes. You read and re-read your work so many times that you begin to see what should be there instead of what really is!
Angela's fresh eye caught whatever I had missed. Including changing the gender a couple of times of a main character. And he wasn't one that would appreciate being called a "girlie man"! Typos, quotation marks, action suggestions to replace some passive sections, (the all important show don't tell), and some time line discrepancies were all caught by Angela. She also made some suggestions regarding character building.
All in all, it was not only a great help, it made the book so much more readable and enjoyable. We had a good laugh about a couple of Brit versus Yank English terms, and compromises were reached without bloodshed!
