The story is written in the style of a fairytale and is set in the future, a long time after a man-made ecological disaster. People are forced to live deep underground and are not aware of any other existence outside of their world. But the two main characters, 8-year-old orphans Sebastian and Mona, manage to find a way out from their underground village and embark on an adventure of discovering this new world… This is an adventurous gripping new novel, with a goal to teach children from a young age about the importance of the environment and how to preserve it. Reading level: Ages 8-12

This is a well-written, ethical book, which is easily understood by children. I look forward to future editions of this story, as I would like to see how the author will develop it.

I thought the book was wise and wonderful. The kind of thing I would really have loved to death as an older child (& loved as a mum too!). It was beautifully written and I had it had some of the darkness of traditional old folk stories before Disney got hold of them all. It shocked and delighted me - thanks!

The book is brilliant and it is teaching children from a young age about the importance of the environment and what can happened if we go on living like this... Who knows, maybe the world would become a better place if more writters start writting children's books like this one. Weldone!!!

At last, an interesting read for children that at the same time highlights an important issue of polluting our planet! Well done the author for coming up with such a refreshing way of educating kids through a fairtale that's both captivating and entertaining. Ten out of ten!

I read your book and it is absolutely brilliant! I really love the themes and the characters and I couldn't put it down. It was a real thriller.
