This book is the epitome of the phrase "labor of love." I have been a Siouxsie & the Banshees fan and collector for over 20 years and this book puts ME to shame. I am in awe and can't thank Peter enough for doing this. This book is a must for a anyone even slightly interested in SATB.

What an excellent book. I know it's been said before but it's an essential buy for any Banshees fan and anyone else wanting to know more about this amazing, often overlooked, band and the wonderful music they created. Author Peter Routley has done an amazing job considering the task he had to complete. I'm now, like many others, looking forward to his next book on The Creatures, Siouxise and Budgie's other amazing band!

If you love Siouxsie you simply MUST own this magnificent book. I've been unashamedly fanatical about the divine Ms. Sioux for the last 27 years and have found tons of stuff in here that even I didn't know about. It's a cracking good read from the first page to the last and couldn't be more "unputdownable" if it was coated in superglue. Peter's knowledge of the subject is second to none (he is the guvnor of the world's No.1 Siouxsie website after all) and it's clear that this tremendous tome is a true labour of love. Bursting at the seams with fascinating facts and intriguing insights and packed to the gills with stunning images, 'Songs: From The Edge Of The World' is the book that every Banshees fan has been waiting for. Spellbinding!

Well Peter, finally my copy arrived and all i can say is...INCREDIBLE! A beautifully presented and informative book that no Banshee fan should be without. Fabulously presented, well written and SO much detail, I was speechless when i opened the packaging and saw it. As a long time follower of the band this is the kind of thing ive always wanted to read and I just want to say a huge Thank-You for the hard work and labour of love you've put into this.

And to top it all...a Creatures one in the near future as well??? Great respect mate.

This is a great compendium of Siouxsie And The Banshees' career. The astounding collection within was collected with a great deal of passion and integrity, and streamlined for quick reference. The thoughts of the band members themselves on all of their songs, rarities included, is of great interest; not to be overlooked are the sweet boxes of trivia added in, tour listings and press reviews, discography, film credits, a listing of the many bands that have covered Siouxsie And The Banshees songs, and many great photos throughout their career. This is a beautiful book!

Delightful!

I've been visiting Peter's website for years, and I found out about this book by reading the forums. I ordered it immediately expecting something between a paperback and a fanzine. But the book is extremely well done, very professional, with plenty of color pictures and above all, great information from interviews, articles and books, that otherwise would be almost impossible to track down.

Congratulations Peter! Every Siouxsie fan should have this book as a resource.
