Writers Incorporated Have Created A Monster
No! It is not me! I made the mistake of sharing one of their riddles with my son, Mark. He has always loved trivia and brain teasers of any kind.
"Where did you get this? Are there any more?" He asked with interest.
We spent an evening with me printing off for him the old riddles and puzzles of A&B that had already been answered. By the third one, he had gotten the hang of their techniques. After he got a current one right last evening he was hooked.
Around midnight as I was preparing myself for bed, he called out, "I have an answer!" (speaking of the latest puzzle).
"I've already turned off the computer and I'm going to bed," I called back.
"Well see what you think of this answer and post it in the morning if no one else gets it first." He brought me the printed paper that I had given him, with the words "Coca Cola" written in.
At 4:00 a.m. I sleepily trudged to the bathroom and then to the kitchen for a bit of cold water. I noticed that light was coming from beneath his bedroom door............
It was 5:00 a.m. and I had just dropped back off to sleep, this time in the reclining chair in the living room, when I felt him shaking me.
"What? What?" Some emergency flitted through my sleepy brain.
"I've been thinking all night and I've made up one for you."
"One what?"
"A riddle."
"A riddle? A riddle? Do you know what time it is?" .
"Well, no....but I thought since you were in the chair.........and I've made a pot of coffee......"
After growling and a disgruntled hunkering over the coffee mug for a few minutes, I said, "Let me have it!"
"I'll but you can't figure this one out in a hurry!" he announced with a smile on his face that quickly fell when I responded.
"Its a _____________."
Mark's Riddle
I am a noun.
I'm hard.
I'm rigid.
I only go one way.
My head is big/tail is small
You can push me to my limit.
I have many colors
You can use me many times.
It seems that four of us at a time work best
You can buy me if you want but,
I'm usually found around.
Step on me and I bite.
