You've all seen them -- those church signs along the side of the road that make you wonder "what the heck were THEY thinking when they put that sign up for the world to see?" Well, here is your chance to see the best of the worst ... err, the worst of the best ... oh heck, the funniest commentary on the worst attempts at puns or theological content posted for all to see, all in one place so you don't have to drive all around the country and the world. Besides, with the cost of gas nowadays, your smiles per money spent goes a lot farther than your car will! Compare your local attempts at church witticism to the world at large!

As a contributer for this book, you might think my opinion is a bit biased. But the truth is this book may just be one of the funniest things you've read in a very long time. Buy and check it out for yourself. The stupidity of some of these signs, the lack of anyone with a dictionary, and the craziest theology I've ever come across.
This book is not written to tear down the church, or mock Christianity. On the contrary, most of the contributers are Christians, who are tired of church signs being used for trite and inane catchphrases. What better way to get our point across then laughing at them?
Joel has compiled a fantastic book of funny and humorous sign and commentary on those signs. I encourage everyone to buy and enjoy! Extreme laughter awaits you.

OK, it was just released today and I haven't actually seen it. But as a long-time reader of Joel's blog, this satire is just hysterical. The thing I love about it is that even as he is taking bad church signs on (and apparently there are LOTS of them!), he's doing it from the perspective of a Christian who thinks these jokers can do a lot better than this. So...he isn't tearing down the Church, just the truly horrific, what-the-%^&*-were-you-thinking church signs.
