There are many books on the market that deal with ministry. Stephanie's book touches a felt need in the area of ministry normally neglected by many - minister's wives. This insightful and enjoyable reading gives great insight and practicality as it relates to the minister's wife. Every minister's wife will benefit from the humor and practicality of Ahh, the Ministry.

If you yearn to understand a life of surrender with Christ, you need this book! Her life carries an annointing that reminds me that Christ is patient with me, longsuffering, full of mercy, grace and Great Wisdom. He desires to walk it ALL out with us. (The Good in us, the bad and the ugly)
Stephanie is transparent, completely vulnerable and real. I think deep down we all know "we are to live a life of surrender in Christ" yet most of us struggle with it moment by moment. The foundation is firm but the process remains a mystery. Stephanie reminds us that Christ wants us just the way we are and has an intense desire to grow in intimacy with us. He is always there waiting for us to respond out of love not duty. Intimacy! A life long relationship. Order the book if your in ministry. Order it if your searching. Sit down with it, pray to hear God speaking and grow. It's gentle. Trust me.

I read Stephanies book and it was a real delight in many ways. I happen to be her husband and a bit biased. Please forgive me but she is the writer in the family which will be real obvious as you read this. The book is REAL it is OPEN and HONEST which to be truthful sometimes people in minsitry try hard to live up to a certain image which does not lend itself to real depth. Steph is honest about what she was feeling even if her feelings did not line up with what we all know to be true. what is great about this is we all feel this way but instead of just leaving us there Steph takes you through the process of your own feelings and with a down home approach that is easy to understand. This is not a book that is pigeon holed but will minister to all who read it, especially those in ministry. Her easy writing style with examples and images that connect with all readers will stick with you. I wish there were more books about ministry written like this. At times I was a bit sad to see some feelings that I missed going on in my wife and was not in touch with it as I should have been, which shows you how honest she really is. Thank you Steph for geing such a great Wife in the Ministry.
