Description:

Are you disillusioned by the current photographic market? Frustrated by the absurd claims of analog and digital proponents alike? Ready to throw in the *%$#! towel? Then the Figital Revolution is for you. “FIGITAL” stands for the dynamic fusion of film and digital photographic technologies. The Figital Revolution transcends self-serving industry hype and old-fart conservatism to get at the real issues photographers face today: how did we get here? Is digital all it’s cracked up to be? Why is film on life support? How can photographers create a sustainable art? Why do most photo magazines suck? The Figital Revolution is about all that and more. Remember: movement does not equal progress. Yes comrades- the revolution has begun! For more information please visit: www.figitalrevolution.com

Don't bother - not even for $3.95 [ No Rating ] 27 May 2008

This book is juvenile, puerile, and belabors the obvious. Great pearls of the obvious are dragged before us like: Don't trust reviewers who get free equipment; don't trust photo magazines because they are corrupted by advertising, and many more such chestnuts are belabored in juvenile quasi-communist-quasi-teenage curse language. And the cartoons are silly, too.
Irreverant look at photography today [ No Rating ] 12 Oct 2007
When reading this book, I felt like Dorothy must have felt when the curtain was pulled away from the Wizard of Oz. Stephen and Eve shows who's pulling all the gears and levers as the photo industry slowly becomes the photo-market industry. This book is hard hitting (sure to make some enemies), funny and informative at the the same time. Loved reading it!!!!
