A lot of books will give strategies in a theoretical way but not give any examples of how the author used them in practice. So, it deserves a place on the bookshelf of a budding investor.
As the title suggests, and how it differs from most books in this genre - the idea is not to make huge amounts from the market, but to make tidy profits with relatively low risk trading.
Points covered include the use of stops, trade timing, keeping costs down, straddles and strangles.
Also completing each chapter are 'Experience Notes' giving real examples from the author's own financial experiences.
If you, like me, are new to trading, then you will learn a lot from this book - and hopefully not lose money.
I'm sure more experienced traders can take something from this book too.
'Don't Lose Money' is a must-read if low-risk trading is what you are looking for.
