Description:

GRANT ME THE COURAGE is a bittersweet glimpse into the mind of a young woman as she watches her brother lose his battle with AIDS. Told through actual journal entries from both brother and sister, this semi-autobiographical journey explores the last six months of their life together. At times the story may be painful, but its candor and sincerity leave a profound impact. It is both honest and powerful, sure to touch the heart of anyone who has ever known and/or lost someone to a long-term illness.

This book captured my attention from the first paragraph and it will always haold a special place in my heart. The honesty with which it was written is amazing. The book tells the true life story of a brother and sister, of a family and all of the ups and downs they encounter. Ms. Marks wrote this book as though she was telling the story to only you. I eagerly await her next book.

It was extremely descriptive and well-written. Also, it was awesome and you have to buy it now, try it...you'll love it. It should come with a box of tissues. When you read it, you won't want to stop!

“A collection of memories, put together in story form, that successfully takes you through her experiences while dealing with her brother's terminal illness, his last days, and her interactions with him and their family. Worded so warmly and with such intense feeling and emotion, that in some parts you feel as though you are going through these events of her life with her. And in other parts you will feel as though you and she are sitting together, sipping coffee, and talking face to face!
Heartfelt...touching....honest! You will feel as though you knew them all! You will not want to put the book down!”
