Not being a part of the larger BDSM community and knowing little to nothing about rope art, I was a tad bit skeptical before I read this book. Would I be able to relate? Would I even understand any of the feelings and sensations that come in this community?
The sort answer to all of that and more is a definitive "Yes!". Most important to me when I am reading erotica is how the characters are portrayed, especially the womyn. The strength that Graydancer gives the womyn in this story is on par with how I feel womyn should be in erotica. Submissive is not stupid nor is it weak and Graydancer's story illustrates this beautifully. The "scenes" are hot to say the least and for the first time ever made me want to explore the world of a submissive.
There are some points when, even one who is a reader of fantasy, the story makes you take a step back. Not in horror or revulsion but in simple, "Holy shit did I get that right?" Then you realize you did and you smile at how Graydancer's mind must work.
The book is involving and erotic in a way that traditional erotica wishes it could be. I highly recommend you purchase this book and await the sequel eagerly...

I have not been a long time reader of Gray Dancer’s Live Journal, or a listener for his Ropecast. I believe, I heard his name from Monk’s B-log, a few years ago, and I just recently became a fan of the things Gray Dancer is doing.
When he put the book ”Nawashi“ up for free download, added it to my “smart phone” and started to read it, whenever I got a chance.
The first chapter drew me into the story; it was exotic, and very sexy, over the next few chapters the story held me tightly, as I feverishly read it to the end. My only hope is the next part of the story won’t take too long to be published.
This is a great story, and I hope other people will read it and get just as hooked as I have.
