This book was inspired by a dust storm at the 2007 Black Rock Desert Burning Man Festival. Many of the pages are visual metaphors of the feelings that were aroused within me from being lost in the great blank white of the storm. I couldn't see more than 10 feet ahead of me at best. Strange sights emerged and submerged into the white dust as I walked forward. It was powerful being pushed by the wind like that and it was very difficult to capture. In a sense I almost feel that I have created something else with part of my experience included. Everyone has a different favorite page. The artwork was created with watercolor with salt added for effect. Then, it was inked.
