A great book containing excellent, well-presented material with good use of tables. I can think of no negatives to describe this work, only superlatives. The index and glossary help make it easy to use.

Katarina Walker has produced a highly readable volume on Spanish 21 Blackjack that will benefit the casual palyer and the professional alike. A writing style that is understandable with a modest math backgroud required for the reader, yet supported by abundant evidence using theory and computer simulations. This is new ground on the game of Spanish 21 that has not been explored until now. Advice is also given in casino comportment, bankroll management and how to be a professional player in any blackjack game. A must read for all serious players and will become part of the best in blackjack literature. Katarina's experience and knowledge are shared by but a few.

"The games of Spanish 21 and Pontoon, when first introduced by casinos, were deemed by the experts as unbeatable. While the sharp players were counting cards at the blackjack tables, Katarina Walker was a step ahead of the pros. She actually took a step back and performed a complete analysis on these new games. After determining the games were beatable, she developed complete strategies for the optimal advantage. Then walking the walk, she went out and beat the games. In her book "The Pro's Guide to Spanish 21 and Australian Pontoon," Katarina provides us with the most thorough analysis and strategies anyone could ask for. Outlined in a clear, easy-to-follow manner, the reader can learn the methods and get to the tables in a matter of time."

"This is everything you could ever need to know about Spanish 21, and Pontoon, as it is called in Australia. Included is a detailed card-counting strategy, the first ever in print for Spanish 21. Despite the removal of tens, Spanish 21 is indeed countable. Read the book, and play the game now, before the other side reads the book too."

As is often the case in gambling, cursory investigation, erroneous assumptions, and limited information can lead to missed opportunities. Such has been the case with Spanish 21. "The Pro's Guide to Spanish 21" sheds more light on this game and its associated earning potential than any source before it. It belongs on the bookshelf of any serious blackjack player."
