Description:What's new in this latest edition (since the 12 habits version)? 1. Description of how to get a podcast onto iTunes at end section of this document. Very detailed, but if you follow the instructions it should work. 2. Also, since the last version, the CNET music section of music.download.com closed, so I have a different recommendation. Please note, if you set up a music.download.com profile your URL should now redirect to the new site. 3. The Alexa submit URL has changed. 4. Mentioned AirplayDirect for radio play exposure. 5. Mention of Music Licensing with Pumpaudio/GettyImages. 6. The bottomline main things you need to know if you are new to Twitter. 7. Quick 'preparation' guide at the very end of the document, on how to convert .wav or .aiff master recordings to MP3 using iTunes. Listed in: |

So many of us struggle to make any money at all from our music, and that is why every musician needs to read his guide to marketing. There is stuff about being picked up on search engines, ways of getting on iTunes, plus so many other things that one would not otherwise consider. Steven is a true genius of music promotion and has the numbers to back himself up!
Steven's book is the cheapest good advice you'll ever get on how to become a profitable musician.
"The 12 Habits of Highly Effective Music Markers Guide #1" is excellent. I would recommend it to anyone who is trying to market his or her music online. Even though I've been an indie musician for years, there are lots of ideas here that I've never thought of, or heard anywhere else - things that were learned through his experience and meticulous attention to detail. Steven has created a valuable, well-thought-out, easy-to-understand guide to help indie musicians with the mysterious and often daunting challenge getting their music heard. Fantastic.
