In their great new volume of short stories, authors Vivian Gilbert Zabel and Holly Jahangiri, have captured the essence of good writing. The conflict and characterization presentations in each and every story shows their mastry of the writer's craft.
The stories range from slice-of-life humor as found in "Crazy Woman Dance" to the deep sorrow portrayed in "Another Nightmare". In "Island Storm" there is a touch of mystery framing the romance of the two main characters. For those who love the crime scene investigations, I recommend "Innocence Denied".
The book itself is well organized and a very handy size for taking on a commute or to the hammock in the backyard with a large glass of lemonade. All-in-all, I found in the collection a variety of genres and a very pleasant reading experience. I recommend the book to the reading public and look forward to future publications by these talented writers.
