This short book is meant as something of a manual for setting up a schlieren video system. The setup will allow you to view air flows for research, education, and especially for fun. The system was developed by myself and Dr. Robert Teese at Rochester Institute of Technology. This book should give you the basic principles of how a schlieren photographic system works and give you specific steps for putting your own together following our method.
