Description:

Indigenous people in Mexico have experienced a long history of repression. In response to this is a unique history of organizing and resistance influenced by the traditions within the Indigenous cultures. In July 2007 photographer Gwendolyn Meyer (gmeyerphotography.blogspot.com) and historian Marc Becker, traveled to Mexico with Marin Interfaith Task Force (MITF) and Rights Action to observe the situation in Oaxaca . From this trip is a report back on the Social Justice movements in Oaxaca. Proceeds from the sale of this book benefit MITF (www.mitfamericas.org) and Rights Action,(www.rightsaction.org).
