Powerful guide for young minds! [ No Rating ] 13 May 2008
The most powerful teaching technique is the question. Michelle Rossi draws young minds into the process of creating their own sense of self-worth and value through an extremely well directed series of questions and exercises. Stories and examples support the exercises without becoming lectures.

Through my martial arts program I've been teaching personal development to young people for more than 15 years; Michelle has produced an important tool in helping us develop powerful, passionate and creative young minds!

"Michelle's book is a winner by any standard--interesting, timely and on target for its young audience. Psychologists have long recognized that low self esteem is at the root of many social problems among our youth from promiscuity to violent crime. ALL ABOUT ME is a highly readable contribution to building self esteem and providing youngsters with a healthy perspective on their place in the world."

Michelle Rossi’s book, brilliantly and sensitively addresses issues that have a tremendous impact of the affective development of preteens. Developing positive self esteem, communication skills, and goal setting strategies have a direct link to academic success. The workbook format makes this a usable guide for parents, counselors, teachers and other professionals who are in the business of helping adolescents on their journey through the middle school years.

With it's genial tone and open-ended questions, 'Getting to Know Me' provides a good way for young people to build self-esteem by learning more about themselves and their strengths and interests. At an age when they're just beginning to come into their own, these exercises will likely give them thoughtful insights about themselves, and in an encouraging and positive fashion."
