But when Tom discovers that he also has the ability to control the dreams of others, he realizes he may have the means to bring his parents back together through the power of dream and so sets out to learn the skills of a Dreamweaver. With his Dream friends, Will and Becca, Tom tries to come to terms with the realities of Wake by day and explores the magical land of Dream by night. However, one boy stands in his way and though Tom receives help and training from the Sandman, controller of all Dream, he must prepare to fight the final battle alone. Keywords:Listed in: |

Written primarily for the teenage market, this book will appeal to all ages since it explores what may be termed the final frontier: Not outer space, but inner space. The last refuge of magic that all are free to explore. Indeed, so convincing is the prose that it could almost be a manual for Dream exploration and one wonders if the Mr. Ashmatch may be writing from experience. But however one reads it, it is clearly a work of immense value. A well constructed narrative that sprints along with perfect pace and holds enough surprises to keep the reader guessing. While the paperback version is reasonably priced, the download at just £1.25 makes it excellent value for money and if you’ve never tried an e-book, I can’t think of a better introduction.
