Description:

Facsimile reprint of the c. 1928 edition. Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 409 was raised in Hamburg, Rostock, and Bremen in late 1916 and was attached to the newly formed 203. Infanterie-Division. After service on the Eastern Front, the regiment was sent to the Western Front where it remained for the rest of the war.

The text is fairly detailed, essentially being a war diary with an almost daily account of the regiment's activities. Book includes an Ehrentafel consisting of about 600 names. The seven "Skizzen" are not included.
