Heat Level: O (for Orgasmic arousal level. Our reviewer found the ultimate satisfaction with this book.

Pitching a fit on her wedding day, beautiful Denise throws off her wedding dress and storms through the house berating everyone she sees. Dana, her twin in all ways except temperament, dreamily puts on the gown. She fantasizes about having handsome professional football player Jerome Lott as her fiancé and eventual husband. When Jerome shows up prior to the wedding and mistakes Dana for Denise, Dana realizes that this is her chance to live out her fantasy. They make mad, passionate love before Jerome discovers the switch. Both decide to keep their tryst a secret. But Denise does find out and blackmails Dana into posing as her for the wedding and honeymoon. Although he had never experienced such mind blowing sex with Denise, Jerome continues to believe that Denise is his one true love. He marries the woman he believes to be Denise but continues to fantasize about Dana. Denise’s erratic behavior drives Jerome crazy and he again turns to Dana. Can they resist their strong attraction?

Mistaken Identity is one hot story with lots of twist and turns. All of the characters are well developed and realistic. Denise is divine as the evil twin. She uses those around her to satisfy her needs and makes no real attempt at being likable. As for Dana, although she dislikes her sister, she feels a mistaken bit of loyalty towards her. She’s always lusted after Jerome but has held back. Even when she has the opportunity to be with Jerome forever, she doesn’t grab it because she doesn’t want to hurt them in the long run. Jerome and Dana’s feelings for each other almost jump off the pages at you. Their frequent sexual encounters are unbelievably hot and will keep you hooked. In addition, the totally unexpected plot twist had me guessing up to the end. Although the frequent typos were annoying, I really enjoyed this book. A little judicious editing would have made this story fabulous.

Mistaken Identity - Cold Shower Required Afterwards [ No Rating ] 11 Jun 2006
Simply said - Mistaken Identity leaves you wanting more.

From the first chapter, the reader is drawn in and taken through a crazy roller-coaster of lust, regret and satisfaction.

While reading on-line excerpts, the reader may think they know what will happen but, they don't. Unless, they read Mistaken Identity front to back.

And unlike a bad one-night stand, the reader will yearn for the next time when this excellent author will play with their emotions and drive them to the point of ecstasy and beyond.

Sylvia,

What can I say. You were blessed with this wonderful gift and we are blessed because you choose to share it with us. This book, like all your others, was an absolute pleasure to read. It kept me up until the wee hours of the morning, despite the fact that I had to wake up early and head off to work the next morning.

Keep up the good work.

My take on Mistaken Identity [ No Rating ] 8 Feb 2006 (updated 8 Feb 2006)
Sylvia, you did it again. You successfully kept me turning the pages until the very last one. I love the way you weave suspense so intricately into each storyline. It seems almost second nature to you...probably is by now. In fact, your stories could probably stand on the suspense alone.

I applaud your brilliant mind and your courage to tell a story that not only went close to the edge of convention, but also dove off just to see what would happen.

Keep doing you.

Hey Sylvia,

Just finished reading an except from Mistaken Identity and yes it's hot. I don't know what you did differently with this piece, but the writing seems a bit more polished and the storyline an even flow. Keep up the good work, Sista Fruit!! Maybe we can do a collabo one day.

Peace and Blessings,

Ms. Lesley

Hold onto you panties, ladies! Mistaken Identity is a scorching ride that will have you wiggling in your seat and screaming for your lover by the end of the first chapter!

Beautiful twins and a wedding set the stage for this erotic thriller. Denise, a frigid but gorgeous schemer is about to be married for all the wrong reasons—money and prestige. Her mirror image, Dana, is the total opposite—quiet, unassuming but a whiz at business. These twins have always been competitive and Denise thinks she has the upper hand when she snags the man of Dana’s dreams as her fiancé—sexy professional football player, Jerome Lott.

The table turns, however, when Dana tries on Denise’s gown and Jerome barrels in and makes love to who he thinks is Denise just before the nuptials…and Dana allows him. Can you feel the tension?

Jerome realizes his mistake too late but the flames have been ignited and he wants more Dana. Embarrassed, Dana tries to extricate herself from the now delicate situation but Denise blackmails her into “assuming her role” for the honeymoon and beyond. Dana reluctantly agrees but sees no way out. However, Dana is speechless when it is revealed that the actual ceremony was a sham and the “real” marriage will be performed on the honeymoon. And guess whose name is on the birth certificate presented? Dana’s.

Denise, meanwhile, changes her mind and decides she wants to be Jerome’s trophy wife…minus the sex. Jerome is frustrated and turns to Dana to vent his frustrations. Dana tries to resist but eventually their “in-law” status progresses into a satisfying relationship for both.

As the story moves along, I am at first puzzled by Jerome’s mood swings and the question he always asks Dana, “Can you love two people at the same time?” I am further enthralled when, after a night of lovemaking, he proclaims he is not Jerome Lott. The plot thickens when Dana discovers she is pregnant with twins…but there is a problem—they have different DNA. Who is really whom? I’m not telling.

Mistaken Identity captured my attention from the beginning. Sylvia Hubbard is a master of the cliffhanger and many times, her “hangers” left me screaming in anticipation. Her twists and turns are unique, the tension between the characters palpable, and the sex steams up the room. Even without the sex, the suspense will keep you turning the pages. And the last few chapters…they just blew me away.

The situations are real, the characters make you believe in them, the sex is sizzling and the outcome will make you green with envy. I can’t speak for anyone else, but I sure wouldn’t mind changing places with Dana. You will not be disappointed.
