This book was written in 1993 while I was at the M.P.C. after keen study backed up by a written survey.
I had ascertained that the educational system on Sint Maarten was counterproductive to the needs of those it claimed to be serving in the book the increasing incidences of gang violence and youth crime is also examined and.
The actual cause of said violence is illumined.
Youth hierarchy from a post-colonial Caribbean perspective is brought to the fore.
And possible solutions to the examined social delimma's are offered while the work does not pretend to solve sociaties ills it does however offer certain common points of reference whereby a dialogue from a Caribbean centered perspective can be enacted.
