Description:

Anna has no recollection of who or where she is, but one thing is certain: the world is coming to an end. Her only friend is Jacqueline, an angel in human form who was once guitarist for one of the world's greatest rock bands. Together, they travel across the dying landscape, and as Jacqueline gathers her surviving bandmates, Anna learns the truth about the four angels called Rosewater.

Rosewater is a unique photo-collage graphic novel, written and created by collage artist Alexei Gural. It is a somber and surreal tale of disillusionment and hope, of fallen angels and rock n' roll, with a visual style quite unlike any other comic.

The Short Review: A MUST buy! Buy one for yourself and your friends... because they're gonna try to steal yours!

The Long Review: I have lost myself in many many various graphic novels and comics, all different in subjects, story lines, art styles, and characters. A broad spectrum of graphical entertainment that eventually all bled together. Yet, if you showed me one page of one novel and told me that it was from another, I'd believe you. Not so with Alexei Gural's 'Rosewater'. This book is so crisp and sharp, your eyes just might bleed. I have never had the pleasure of experiencing something this new and exciting! If the art alone doesn't hook you, the story will definitely reel you in. I really don't think it's possible for a person to pick this up, scan a few pages, put it down, and say, "No, this isn't for me." I dare you to start reading this and just TRY to find a stopping point to pick back up later. Evey time I start it, I have to complete it all in one sitting. You get so immersed in this piece of work that you lose all sense of time and awareness of the outside world. I could go on and on trying to hunt and gather the precise words to describe this tome, but it would all be in vain. Nothing can ever accurately emulate the experience that comes from actually reading it yourself. You'll just have to purchase a copy to find out! You will not be disappointed! ^_^
