Yet in that short time major companies like SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, Google, eBay, Amazon have evolved. Seven is the story of the seven major business models we’ve seen in the software industry. More importantly, Seven is a story told from the experiences of some of the major players to inform those in the industry of lessons learned. The book is a great at outlining the foundation of software business models as it introduces them and highlights the benefits and risks of each model. It doesn't matter if your background is technology, marketing or sales, the book offers something for you.
