Theses are presented that question the theory of continental drift. Continental drift suggests a random motion of the continents across the face of the Earth. The symmetry in distances between geographical extreme points and cosmological event points suggests the absence of such randomness. Extreme points of land mass and water bodies are measured as of event points, such as the Nodes and the Earth's ecliptic. The symmetries in measurements among these points denies the possibility of random motion of the continents and tectonic plates. The theses are discussed in relation to seafloor spreading and plate tectonics as well as of the specific theses about continental drift. Keywords:Listed in: |
