This collection of short stories—including “Mullet Madness,” “Fat Ass Evidence,” and “Wherein I Test a Product on an Animal”—captures Jaworski’s complicated relationship with the cosmetics giant (and her customers) and reveals a surprising and touching account of her personal life. Having been a Birdie blog reader for a couple of years now, I knew SOME of what to expect.
Now having devoured her book in just a couple of sittings, I loved the way she integrated her Avon stories with what was going on in the rest of her life. The book is a weaving of the real human condition with the absurdities that go with it.
This is a book for those that love sometimes gritty, always truthful, real-life stories with a generous helping of hilarity.
(Says Carroll, who cannot for the life of her figure out how to get the name to show after the "by" line!)
