Having received 'Sol Searching' as a birthday present and as an avid reader of 'life changing' books written by authors such as Chris Stewart, Annie Hawes, Carol Drinkwater to name but a few, I was quite looking foward to reading Keidi Keating's book. However I was really disappointed - funny, it is not, nor is it informative or even that interesting. I'm wondering whether I read the same book as the other reviewers.

I'm glad I didn't buy this book - it's far too expensive for one thing and I agree with what one of the other reviewers said 'it's a load of waffle'.
Excellent light read on a unique expat experience [ No Rating ] 26 Dec 2007
This is an excellent, read - one i could not put down until i had finished the last page only yesterday. This book had me laughing, crying and nodding in agreement throughout.

I can relate well to this book, being a similar age to Keidi and having moved to Singapore on my own to start a new life adventure. Many of the quirky stories i can relate to so well, as i am sure many other 20 somethings can, whether living in a new country or not!

This book has inspired me to continue living out my dreams abroad.

Well done Keidi on a book well written. I look forward to reading more in the future
Enjoyable read

Well done Keidi.
Good effort for a first book. I enjoyed reading it very much.
Signs look promising! [ No Rating ] 9 Dec 2007
Only read the previews, but this does seem a very entertaining yet informative read. I haven't heard of the Sentinella, as I am not in Spain, as yet. I hope I get my copy before Christmas. I can't wait.
Light, fun read [ No Rating ] 9 Dec 2007
This is an honest account of one girl's arrival in Spain. It's observational, self-deprecating, has some great characters and many laugh out loud moments. It's written in a similar style to the Sentinella, because after all we all have a certain writing voice, and Keidi honours that. Most people like the Sentinella because it's fun and light-hearted and this is exactly what Sol Searching is. I admire anyone who sits down a writes and book and then goes on to publish it, so well done Keidi.
very entertaining [ No Rating ] 7 Dec 2007
Sol Searching is a great way to switch off and de-stress. I would recommend it to everyone. Keidi Keating is an A* writer, thanks for sharing your move to Spain with us...

Well done Keidi, your book is great. I couldnt stop giggling from the time I picked it up till the end of Chapter 24. I love your light-hearted approach and some of your character descriptions. I hope you'll be writing more books in the future.
