Description:

Collin Alexander Hansell has lived all his 174 years on Austin, the only survivor from the illegal genetics experiments Reese Austin had performed on the planet. But that was before the riots when most of the geneticists were killed and all the above ground facilities destroyed. Now Austin is a penal colony, denied most technology and access to the rest of the galaxy except through the orbiting guard station. Collin was forced to live the rest of his life hiding who he really is, because as the designer of the most deadly creature on Austin, a reptilian dragon, he'd be killed immediately. But when a thirteen year old girl and a robot controlled by a prototype core in artificial intelligence crashes to the planet, Collin must jeopardize secrets he has hidden for over a hundred years to save the girl's life -- secrets that could cost him his life and any hope he has to right the wrong he made almost 150 years before. Or this girl and robot may be just what he needs to finally atone for his mistakes.

I found this book to be very interesting. It held my interest very well. I would have liked to see God brought out more in it; Jamel is the only one who really seems to say anything about God, but all in all it is a great story. I would reccomend it to those who enjoy science fiction.
